Welcome to the Netherley Youth and Community Initiative!
After School Club
In 1994, two sisters of the Daughters of Charity, Sister Barbra Smith and Sister Ann O'Mahoney recognised that there was a lack of resources in Netherley to support children and young people. They saw that there was a high increase in drugs and crime within the area and they knew that it is vital to keep our young people safe from harm.
Today, Netherley Youth and Community Initiative (NY & CI) staff and the volunteers assist the Initiative throughout the year by offering their support, time and commitment to the various clubs and projects, which have given many opportunities to the children, adults and the wider community of Netherley. They work with the many very generous benefactors who have financially supported NY & CI to make a difference to the families of Netherley and the surrounding areas. The Trustees and the people of Netherley owe them grateful thanks for their support.
